Privacy Policy for SubZap

1. Introduction
SubZap (“I,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a subscription management service. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the SubZap mobile application.
2. Permissions and Data Collection
Based on your use of the app, we request the following sensitive permissions:
- Calendar Access (READ/WRITE_CALENDAR): We use this permission solely to sync your subscription renewal dates with your device calendar and to help you manage renewal schedules. We do not share your calendar data with third parties.
- Notification Access (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): We use this permission to send you timely alerts and reminders before your subscriptions are due. These notifications are processed locally and via Awesome Notifications to ensure you never miss a payment or trial expiry.
- Authentication Data: We use Google Sign-In and Firebase Auth to create your account and securely sync your tracked subscriptions across your devices.
- Financial & Purchase Data: We use RevenueCat to process “SubZap Pro” subscriptions. We collect purchase history to unlock premium features; however, we do not see or store your credit card details or payment methods.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following industry-standard SDKs to provide our services:
- Google Play Services / Google Auth: For authentication and core app functionality.
- RevenueCat: To manage subscription status and verify in-app purchases.
- Firebase (Firestore/Auth): For secure cloud storage and syncing of your tracked bills.
- Awesome Notifications: To trigger local reminders and alerts on your device.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Your subscription data is stored securely in Firebase. You have total control over your data:
- In-App Deletion: You can use the “Delete My Data” button in the Settings screen at any time. This will permanently wipe your Firestore records and delete your Firebase Authentication account.
- Subscription Persistence: Note that deleting your SubZap account does not automatically cancel your paid subscription with Apple or Google. You must manage those via your respective App Store settings.
5. Data Deletion Request
If you cannot access the app and wish to request a manual deletion of your account and all associated data, please email thewodmapps@gmail.com with the subject “Delete My Account”.
